Tabulation of ABRF-89SEQ results by individual facilities The following table lists the results from the 62 facilities that responded to the 1989 sequence study prior to release of the sequence. The table illustrates the range in sequence assignments from different facilities. These data also suggest that the most common problems in sequence assignment were getting out of phase in later cycles as lag increased and overassignment of residues beyond where the sequence terminated. Tentative resiudes are represented "in lower case, and unassigned residues are represented by a hyphen. If two assignemnts were made for a single " "cycle, both are listed; if more than two assignments were made, the cycle is reported here as unassigned. The first " "column, ""Seq"", is the correct sequence. The C-terminal Cys was unmodified and was not expected to be identified."
