SEQUENCE SUBCOMMITTEE 1991

The sequence subcommittee for 1991 has been formed and plans for ABRF-9lSEQ are well under way. The members of this year's committee are Dan Crimmins, Washington Univ.; Gregory Grant (Chair), Washington Univ.; Liane Mende-Mueller, Medical College of Wisconsin; Ronald Niece, Univ. of Wisconsin; Clive Slaughter, Univ. of Texas Medical Ctr.; David Speicher (ad hoc), The Wistar Institute; and K. Umit Yuksel, Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine. As in the past, the results of ABRF-9lSEQ will be presented at a satellite meeting held in conjunction with the Protein Society meeting in Baltimore in June 1991. Since this meeting is several months earlier than it has been in the last few years, the committee has been active for several months already. As a result, we hope to be able to distribute ABRF-9lSEQ during the first or second week of January 1991. This should give everyone ample time to analyze the sample and allow for data tabulation in time for the June meeting. Mark your calendar now so you will be expecting the sample. Let's see if we can get our response rate even higher than last year.

As always, if you have any comments or questions please don't hesitate to write or call a member of the committee. We really do want to hear from you.
