This year the ABRF survey subcommittee compiled and distributed a questionnaire on the subject of resource facility staff training. The survey addresses an area which we believe to be very important to the ABRF membership, and takes the position that the quality of service provided by the resource facility is directly related to training level and experience of its staff. The subcommittee seeks to obtain, through the survey mechanism, input from the membership which will allow the ABRF to decide such issues as sponsorship of training workshops, desired levels of training, recognition through the issuance of certificates of training, guidelines for reasonable performance standards, and other pertinent questions. Surveys were mailed to facility directors the third week of March. The survey was distributed from the University of Kentucky.
