The Education Committee welcomes Betsy Nanthakumar as a new member for 1993. The Committee is planning six workshops which will be presented at our 1993 meeting in San Diego (see the article on the 1993 ABRF Symposium on page 5). Our plans for the electronic bulletin board are progressing well and we expect to have a trial period this spring.
Over the coming year, the ABRF Education Committee will sponsor a column providing practical tips in technologies relevant to our members. The tips discussed will be based on literature methods and extrapolations therefrom which have been reproducibly effective in the author's laboratory. Henry Wolfe has contributed our first "Tips" article which is on the next page. This first installment provides an introduction to producing pure peptides with a minimum of effort and expense. Any ABRF member who would like to comment on this article or who has something to share should write to Hank Wolfe, Sterling Drug Inc., 25 Great Valley Parkway, Malvern, PA 19355.
