Reserve these dates for ABRF's first independent meeting, which will be held in San Francisco in March 1996! This three day meeting will feature plenary lectures, workshops, posters, tutorials, and manufacturer's exhibits on current and innovative techniques related to protein, peptide, carbohydrate, and nucleic acid synthesis and analysis. A limited number of concurrent sessions are planned to ensure that scientists interested in a single type of biomolecular technology should find topics of interest throughout the meeting. In keeping with past ABRF meetings, the focus of the meeting will be on current and emerging methods rather than applications.
The meeting will open with registration and an evening reception on Wednesday, March 6, 1996. Scientific sessions and exhibits will be held on Thursday through Saturday. The meeting will be organized by David Speicher and Steven Carr. We have contracted with FASEB to manage the meeting, which will ensure that operational logistics run smoothly. Jean Lash is our meeting manager, and she can be reached at FASEB Office of Scientific Meetings and Conferences, 9650 Rockville Pike, Bethesda, MD 20814-3998, Tel: (301) 530-7010, Fax: (301) 530-7014.
This meeting should interest anyone involved in biomolecular methodologies. Further details and a call for abstracts will follow in future newsletters as well as by direct mail. Corporations interested in supporting the meeting through donations are encouraged to contact David Speicher at (215) 898-3972, Steven Carr at (610) 270-6650, or Audree Fowler, the ABRF Corporate Liaison, at (310) 825-0222.
