The committee has also decided on the topic for the 1995 survey. The survey will focus on instrumentation that can be found in the typical facility. We will provide a list of equipment from various manufacturers. Members will be asked to rate the instrument, the service, the technical support, and the manufacturer's reagents for each instrument in their laboratory using a number system. We will focus on the following types of equipment: amino acid analyzers, ESI mass spectrometers, DNA sequencers, DNA synthesizers, MALDI-TOF mass spectrometers, peptide synthesizers, and protein sequencers.
The committee will then have the results tallied and present them at the next possible date. Please look for your survey form soon.
