Research Specialist. The Lindsley F. Kimball Research Institute, a division of the New York Blood Center, has a challenging opportunity for a Peptide Chemist/Senior Research Assistant in the Laboratory of Microchemistry. The candidate we select will participate in all aspects of this laboratory, which synthesizes, purifies, and characterizes biomolecules in collaboration with researchers at the Institute. To qualify, you must possess a Ph.D. in Chemistry or Biochemistry with 0-2 years of experience or a M.S. with 5 or more years of experience. Knowledge of peptide chemistry or solid phase synthesis and a willingness to learn automated DNA sequencing and synthesis are required. The candidate should have experience with HPLC equipment and computers and a desire to conduct original research in the area of peptide chemistry.
