at ABRF '97: Techniques at the Genome-Proteome Interface on February 11, 1997 at the Hyatt Regency on the Inner Harbor in Baltimore, Maryland. The award recognizes outstanding achievement in the general areas of methodology and instrumentation in all relevant biomolecular fields.
Dr. Smith is being honored for his outstanding contributions to the automation of DNA sequence analysis.
