Income is derived from several sources, including membership dueswhich accounts for approximately one -third of total incomecorporate sponsors, academic sponsors, and grants. During 1995, the W. Alton Jones Cell Science Center joined our rapidly growing roster of supporters as our first non-corporate sponsor; hopefully other academic and non-profit organizations will follow suit during 1996. Also during 1995, a three-year grant awarded by the Department of Energy to the ABRF to support Research Committee activities was activated.

The Meetings, Conferences expense encompasses the 1995 ABRF Annual Meeting in Boston and all satellite meetings, as well as the start-up expenses for ABRF '96 and ABRF '97. The Research Committees expense includes costs associated with operating the Committees such as surveys, test samples, and teleconferencing. The Management and Administration expense includes all expenses for general operations of our organization.

We ended fiscal year 1995 with a net gain of about $38,000. However, a substantial portion of this ($28,500) is corporate contribution for ABRF '96 received during fiscal year 1995, leaving an adjusted gain of $9,500.
