Many people have contributed their time and talents to the ABRF. Arguably one of the most active of professional societies, the ABRF functions as well as it does largely because of the volunteer efforts of our Associates, from the original "founding fathers and mothers" to the newest of volunteer Associates.
To recognize the efforts of all who have served, the Executive Board has attempted to identify each person who has contributed to the success of our organization so they may be presented with ABRF Excellence Awards. These were created primarily to show the appreciation of the ABRF to each volunteer who has served on a Committee or in any other capacity and have been presented or mailed to as many people as we have been able to identify.
While a simple award certificate is a modest expression of appreciation, we feel displaying the ABRF Excellence Award in individual core laboratories may help your collaborators appreciate that your efforts on their behalf have earned recognition. We also feel that displaying the ABRF Excellence Award in your laboratory will reflect favorably on the Association itself.
In addition the awards will enable us to ensure our database is comprehensive and accurate. Each person who receives a certificate is asked to complete a form, sent with the certificate, listing the dates they served the ABRF and in which capacity. If you have not yet received your certificate, please contact Tom Andersen (Tel: (518) 262-5368, Fax: (518) 262-5689, E-mail: tandersen@ccgateway.amc.edu).
