Quality And Compliance Committee
The ABRF Quality and Compliance Committee is in the final stages of reviewing two manuscripts written by Nadine Ritter. These manuscripts are the first in a series of articles promoted by the committee to disseminate information about quality and compliance issues. Summaries of these articles will be submitted for future publication in ABRFnews. The manuscripts are entitled: "Analytical Laboratory Quality Part I: General Quality Practices"; and "Analytical Laboratory Quality Part II: Analytical Method Validation".
The committee believes that the availability of well characterized standards for biomolecular analytical techniques will be of utility for many ABRF members and colleagues. The committee has thus drafted a survey to determine the need and interest for the establishment of such a reference standards program sponsored by ABRF. This survey will be available later in 1998.
