Editorial Standards
JBT is a peer-reviewed forum for dissemination of information pertaining to the development, application, and sharing of advanced biotechnologies, including protein and nucleic acid chemistries, mass spectrometry, and bioinformatics. Several types of research and review articles detail existing or emerging technologies, provide comprehensive descriptions of bioanalytic techniques, or analyze the performance of new or improved methodologies.

Policy on Placement of Advertising
Full-page ads are placed in front and back forms. Special placements are available for full-page ads for additional fees. The Publisher reserves the right to place two or more fractional units on a page.
Service to Advertisers
All requests for limited use or copying of editorial material must be submitted to the publisher for permission.
Closing Dates and Cancellations
Make ad reservations by the 11th of the month before the month of issue (eg, by February 11 for the March 15th issue). No cancellations will be accepted after the closing date.
Closing Dates for Mechanicals
Complete reproduction material is due 10 days after the close for space (eg, February 21 for the March 15th issue).
Disposition of Reproduction Materials
Material will be held for 7 days after the issue mails and then is destroyed unless specifically instructed otherwise.

Reproduction Requirements
Halftone Screen: 133- to 150-line screen
Printed: Sheet-fed
Preferred Materials: Negatives, right-reading, emulsion side down. All reproduction materials must have register marks, center marks, and trim marks clearly indicated. B/W ads must be accompanied by 2 sets of good-quality hard-copy proof. For four-color ads, each negative must be clearly marked for color, and ads must be accompanied by 1 set of progressive proofs and 2 sets of final proofs or Chromalin/Matchprint proofs for color verification.
Acceptable Materials: Electronic files (high-resolution TIFF files at final size preferred) must be accompanied by good-quality hard-copy proof. High-resolution camera copy is also acceptable (additional charges will be assessed for shooting negatives and making four-color separations).
