Automated de novo sequencing of tryptic peptides using tandem mass spectral data

"MassSeq" for interpreting Qtof data

Qtof data was acquired for all four peptides (only the Qtof data from peptides #3 and #4 were used in the quiz). These data were all subjected to a process called "Max Ent 3", which converts multiply-charged fragments to their corresponding singly-charged counterpart and removes C13 isotope peaks. This processing is necessary for running the sequencing program "MassSeq". The top five sequences are shown, ranked by the percent probability score (% probability of being the correct sequence).

"Lutefisk1900" for interpreting Qtof and LCQ data

Ion trap and Qtof data was acquired for all four peptides, and these eight data sets were analyzed using Lutefisk1900. The candidate sequences are ranked according to how well they fit the mass spectral data. Raw unprocessed data is used without converting to singly-charged ions and C13 isotopes were not removed.
