To all users of the ABI 494 HT Protein Sequencer,
I have noticed a Y2K glitch in the Protein Sequencing Software
Version 1.1a. During the bottle change routine, the date adds only one 0
for the year instead of an axpected 00. One can manually add that second 0
if wanted. This glitch doesn't seem to affect anything else in the bottle
change routine. Though, probably not a problem for now, I am curious what
will happen next year. Bob Apfelzweig at ABI is looking into this glitch
presently. Hopefully they can come up with a patch for all users of this
software.
