Michael,

Back in the days when I was doing HF cleavages, I used N2 to remove the HF.
The N2/HF vapor was neutralized by bubbling it through a series of plastic
traps containing NaOH solution with phenolthalein as an indicator. Keep in
mind that HF cleavages were done in an enclosed gas train, and that you
would need a similar apparatus to use this technique.
