A similar thing happened to one of our Macs on a DNA Sequencer. I believe
the 494 also works on a Mac. We fixed it by activating the four-digit
year format (Control Panels-->Date & Time, click on 'Date Formats...' and
select 'Show Century'). Run folders now include '2000' instead of just
'0'. It's not clear to me what version(s) of software are affected thusly.
I've been busy with other comp issues. See separate email concerning the
