Dear Pawel
I had similar problems with other C4 colums. After the column has been
used for some time a large peak always appeared at the same percentage
of acetonitrile . It turned out that this peak was due to "air"-bubbles
generated in the column or in the detector. I never could figure out
what the reasons were (increased dead-volume in the column due to column
compression, leaking fittings, etc..), the only thing that helped was to
replace the column. It never happened with new or other types (C8, C18)
of columns.
Best regards
Peter
