Hi, can't agree with you more. The Pioneer is a new addition to our lab. We did
the mistake of getting an MPS with it. The first MPS we got was a LEMON. I had
to do extensive synthesis on it to prove to them that it was a lemon, we wasted
about three months on that.We need the stand alone to do large scale synthesis
of house keeping peptides. The quality of the product doesn't even come close to
our little ABI 432A. Of course the number of times I have heard that peptide
synthesis is not chug and plug from PE tech support!!! It's frustrating. We have
resigned our self to recovering only 50 % of the crude product from a Pioneer
synthesis, if we are that lucky!!! We don't use the MPS at all, if we can help
it.
