DNA Extraction from a extremely high-salt sample.

Dear Co-Problemsolvers,
I have a set of samples which are almost completely salt (i.e.NaCl) and the challenge is to extract any DNA from any kind of Micro-organism that are (or were) present in this sample. The usual extraction methods of earth samples seem not to work.
Does anyone have a suggestion to help me with this as it is not my speciality at all.
