Attention DNA Sequence Groups,

I am from The Rockefeller University at Protein DNA Technology Center. I am
inquiring to see how DNA sequencing groups are processing their samples.
Any information would be helpful.

What is your average daily gel through-put? Please specify type of gel(36,
64, 96 or capillary).

What was the net amount of samples sequenced at your facility for 1999?

How are samples processed at your facility- e.g. from investigators'
submissions down to creating logs for sequencing runs? Please specify type:
written order, software program or on-line form?

How are you tracking your samples? Please specify type: barcode, letters, or
numbers.

How are you identifying your reactions trays? For example Range_Date_RxN #.

How are you identifying your sequencing gels? For example Day_Date_Time.

How are you distributing investigators' data? Please specify type: e-mail,
zip disk, or FTP site

If you are sending data electronically, are you compressing the files?
Software name?

How are you doing the billing? Please specify type: manually or software
driven.
