I heard 6N from either Spectra Physics or HP service reps.
Just remove column, insert jumper tube, and do whole instrument.
Time doesn't matter so much as flushing the hell out of the system
with DI water AFTER passivation until you reach pH 5 with pH paper.
I believe it was HPO that recommended twice yearly. TFA slowly
leaches off the hard oxide that nitric lays down on stainless.
Also make damn sure you got not traces of methanol or other
alcohol in the reservoirs or instrument before putting in that nitric!
