We are seeking a scientist/analyst experienced in a wide variety of assays
to be responsible for assay transfer and troubleshooting. Assay
troubleshooting will extend to all types of assays conducted for product
release and stability testing. Assay transfer activities will involve
cooperative efforts with internal development groups and external contract
laboratories and manufacturers. This position will be expected to conform
to all GLP/GMP requirements.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES:
? Conduct assay troubleshooting on an as needed basis for QC release and
stability assays; including consultation, data review and possibly the
design and performance of experiments to elucidate and rectify the problem.
? Participate both in the transfer of assays from analytical biochemistry
to quality control, and in the transfer of assays from quality control to
contract laboratories.
? Use LIMS system database and other databases to cull out information
relevant to the monitoring of assay performance.
? Participate in GMP audits.
REQUIREMENTS:
? Education & Work: B.S. in Biol/Chem Science with 8+ years experience,
or M.S. with 5+ years experience, or Ph.D. with 3+ years experience.
? Relevant assay work: MUST have strong immunoassay experience, e.g,
ELISA, RIA, Fluorescence, Cell based assays, nephelometry. HPLC, HPCE &/or
GC are desirable but not a requirement.
? GMP experience is Mandatory in Pharm/Biotech/Medical Device or Contract
Research.
