Deb,

Glen Research says about their sulfurizing reagent (page 21 of their
catalog) "The reagent is stable for at least 1 month in solution under
ideal conditions".

The sulfurizing reagent is sold as a solid substance, which is stable
for many months (years?) at 2-8 deg Celsius (refrigerated). The
conditions were mentioned in the catalog of Sigma-Aldrich, when they
used to sell the reagent (old cat. No B8171, not available anymore in
their new 2000-2001 catalog, because Sigma bought Genosys and dreams of
putting all of us out of business...). However, once diluted in
acetonitrile, general precautions for work under anhydrous conditions
should be taken, as they are for all three A (Amidites, Activator,
Acetonitrile), and the reagent is no longer good for months.. Do not
forget to silanize the bottle if you are not buying the reagent from
GlenResearch.

Best regards,
victor
