Genetics Institute (Cambridge, Ma.) Protein Chemistry department has a position open for a Ph.D.- level scientist to be an integral part of our proteomics program. We are seeking a candidate to initiate and develop projects for proteomics analysis with emphasis on signal transduction/protein-protein interactions. Proven experience in cell/molecular biology with a relevant biological system is essential. Specific skills required include vector construction/gene cloning, cell culture, protein expression/purification, and protein crosslinking.
Additional experience with protein identification utilizing gel electrophoresis and mass spectrometry is highly desirable. This position requires an innovative, highly motivated candidate with a recent Ph.D. in biochemistry, molecular biology or related discipline and 1-3 years relevant experience, plus the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
