Thanks for the report, Lisa - we should indeed get all the benefits
you describe (space, delivery service, parking etc). The deficiency,
however, will come from subtle things.

Clients currently can stop me in the hall to ask questions, and the
good-will it generates is incalculable. There's nothing quite like
joking with someone in the halls, then putting out that extra effort
to help them with some current problem. In this last month alone,
two people went straight to the Dean to deliver complements about me.
Both of them stemmed from an unscheduled encounter. If we only see
clients by appointment, I doubt I'll even *know* about anyone's
problems most of the time. We'll be just another impersonal service.

'telephone company, copier repair service, sequencing service'.

I'm all for turning lemons into lemonade, but the ratio of sweet to
sour determines its drinkability. Please pass the sugar.
