Hello again,
I wanted to update everybody on my progress in dealing with the back pressure
problems on our HP1100. Steve Tindall wins first prize in my contest to diagnose
the underlying problem with the instrument. Apparently there was some bacteria
growing in the degasser and it was sending particulates thru the system that
were causing continual problems. A wash with dilute bleach followed by extensive
washing with H2O and changing the purge valve frit cured the patient. I am
pleased to say that he/she is back at work and is turning out data as beautiful
as ever.
I'd like to thank the people that took time to help me. My job is much less
frustrating because of all that I've learned from this group. Now, if I could
just get our 433 back on line....
Thanks again,
Jeni
