Position #1:
Title: Senior Scientist, Proteomics

Job Responsibilities:
* Wet lab section of proteomics to Conduct differential (qualitative
and quantitative) protein analysis to support target identification, protein
functional analysis/target validation, pathway elucidation, MOA studies and
the identification of surrogate markers in collaboration with the Disease
Groups
* Sample preparation (protein extractions, subcelluar fractionation,
etc.) for proteomics projects
* Protein separations (currently mostly 2DE, HPLC, protein complex
purifications, etc.)
* Data analysis, such as image analysis for 2DE, for the
identification of relevant proteins of interest
* Oversee the operations of the wet lab proteomics section and
supervision of scientific staff.
* Proper coordination with protein mass spectrometry section
* Identification, evaluation and implementation of new technologies
for proteomics.
* Remain current in scientific literature.
* Responsible for written and verbal communication on projects within
section.
Job Requirements:
* Expertise in protein separations techniques (particular expertise
and real understanding of 2DE) and proteomics is required
* Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
Education:
* Ph.D. in Biochemistry with 1-2 years Postdoctoral pharma experience
including experience in protein separations, particularly 2DE.
