position:
JOB TITLE: Research Associate in Biochemistry Group
POSITION STATEMENT: As a member of the biochemistry group, you will
contribute to the testing and evaluation of new microfabricated technologies
efforts of our company. You will perform quantitative and qualitative
experiments supporting protein chip development efforts. Other duties
include sample analysis, reagent preparation and maintenance.
QUALIFICATIONS: BS/MS in chemistry, biology or related field with 1+ years
experience (industrial or core facility) in the operation/use of LC and/or
CE chromatography systems is essential. Practical knowledge in
peptide/protein sample handling (separation and purification) and
protein-based assay is required. Experience in the operation of Sciex MS
systems, Finnigan LCQ, or other LC/MS systems is a plus. The position
requires good communication skills for working in a multidisciplinary team
as well as maintaining good laboratory records. Working knowledge of
Windows NT and MS Office is desired.
