We are planning on performing iodine oxidation in solution to form a
disulfide bond from a peptide with 2 Cys(Acm) groups. I have 2 questions
regarding this:
1. Will the iodine treatment disturb an existing disulfide bond in the
peptide?
2. Can you share a protocol for removing the iodine after oxidation is
complete (prior to HPLC purification)?
