Dear Tanya

I don't know anything about cellulases, but have had experience with an unstable glycosidase. Many years ago, I purified the cytosolic alpha-D-mannosidase from rat liver; it was an extremely unstable enzyme, and the only way I could stabilize and purify it was by adding the competitive inhibitor mannosylamine to all buffers.

Are there any small-molecule competitive inhibitors of cellulase that might bind to and stabilize your enzyme?

Hi everyone!

I'm attempting to extract cellulase from peaches, but I need to
maintain the enzyme activity. I've tried using a high salt phosphate
buffer with no success.
     Does anyone have any suggestions?

                    Thanks!
