Interesting that you should ask just now. I recently became aware of the
following reference which may be what you're after, and had thought of
asking if anyone was familiar with it and/or knew if the findings had found
any support since:

Fiser et al. (1992) Different sequence environments of cysteines and
half-cystines in proteins: Application to predict disulfide forming
residues. FEBS Lett 302:117-120.
