John,
We have two LC/MS systems with these LC10-ADvp pumps. The hardware is quite
reliable, although you definitely want to make sure that you get the
sapphire piston assemblies, not the ceramic ones. Additionally, insist on
the latest ROM version for the controller (I think it is 5.31).

Subject: purchasing an HPLC
Hello All
I am in the process of choosing an HPLC to put in front of a mass spec.
I have just been given a rave review of the Shimadzu LC10-AD system
because of both its reliability and the ability to do accurate gradients
at relatively low flow rates. I confess that it was not one that I was
really thinking about initially and therefore I would much appreciate
other people's thoughts on this instument and on any other choices that
they have made successfully.
Thank you in advance for your input.
John
