Wait, wait wait.... I need more info.
So it's not a dipeptide, it's a protein, right? And only one protein you have found does this? And the protein is pure?
Is cleavage pH sensitive?

HELP

Mechanism gurus/Organic Chemistry mavens,

I have observed cleavage at the QT bond in a protein following long (5 to
10 days) incubation in sterile 15mM Tris pH 8 at room temperature. Product
was massed and also gave the correct N-terminal sequence. Reaction has
been performed more than once with different batches of buffer and stock
preparations of protein. Any thoughts on what might be going on???

Thanks,
