Research Scientist ñ Protein Separations and Tumor Marker Discovery
Large Scale Proteomics Corporation (LSP) is a rapidly expanding company
dedicated to the discovery and understanding of proteins using our
proprietary, high throughput proteomics technology, including
large-scale analytical databases.
This position will be responsible for developing and implementing
high-throughput procedures to fractionate complex protein/peptide
mixtures from human tissues or other biological samples to facilitate
subsequent proprietary 2-D gel analysis and discovery of new disease
marker proteins. Additional responsibilities include maintaining
analytical instrumentation and keeping good laboratory records.
Applicant will collaborate with the 2-D separation and the mass
spectrometry group as well as with other scientific and bioinformatics
staff.
Successful candidate has a Ph.D. in biochemistry, biology, or
biophysics, expertise in protein separation technologies and at least
1-2 years of postdoctoral experience. Knowledge in protein glycosylation
