Beth and all,

Certainly everyone should always be cautious about downloading files from
unknown sources, but that message appears to be a variant of a well-known
hoax that has circulated on and off since '97.

When you get these sorts of messages, I strongly suggest that you first
check with a site that lists the known hoaxes, such as the one run by
DataFellows, http://www.Datafellows.com/virus-info/hoax/

These hoaxes live on precisely because it is so easy for well intentioned
people to send them along to thousands of people, and the truth never
catches up.

That particular hoax is discussed on their page
http://www.Europe.F-Secure.com/hoaxes/budfrogs.htm

Similarly, when you get other messages with various stories (people stealing
human kidneys, deadly spiders hiding in public toilets, etc. etc.) that
typically urge you to send them on to everyone you know, DON'T DO IT until
you first check whether they are hoaxes (very likely!) at a site such as the
"Urban Legends" site,
