Scottie,

I've enclosed two responses I got today. The web site at U.of Utah, and
specifically the article written by Linda Wood Ballard, was very helpful.
I also found a helpful article at
http://www.nhgri.nih.gov/98plan/variation_report.html.

P.S.: yes, I am located at the Wadsworth Center here in Albany, NY, and
plan on vacationing up around your neck of the woods this August (Kiwassa
Lake).

Bob,
Two sites that may be useful are listed below. In particular, Linda
Wood Ballard's article (1st url), may address several of the points which
you would need to make. Best of luck.

Message #2

Hi,

A good place to start might be to point your people to the PEBio web site.

http://www.pebio.com/ab/

And specifically to:

http://oligos.pebio.com/lit/litpls/jrnsrch.search

On the search page select under Research Applications:
select Mapping -- Microsatellites

You might also want to have a look at SNPs and AFLP.
