MALDI: Protein dimmer

I have a protein with a Mr @ 99105. I saw on our DE Pro MALDI that the M+H+
(100% peak height), M+2H+ (90%) and 2M+H+ (5%). My question is: Is the
dimmer (2M) real, or it's just an artifact commonly seen in MALDI analysis?
How can I tell the difference? (I have tried to find the mass representing
2M+3H+ without too much luck) The protein is known to be able to form a
dimmer.

Thanks for your input.
