Bayer Corporation's Pharmaceutical Division located in Research Triangle Park,
NC has an immediate need for an Analytical Biochemist. This opening is due to
expansion efforts.
We are looking for an Analytical Biochemist that is skilled in the structural
characterization of proteins. This position is located in the Research
Analytical group for Biological Products. The main responsibilities are the
development, implementation and validation of protein characterization assays.
The incumbent will also apply these assays to provide the data necessary for
generation of comparability protocols.
Ph.D. or equivalent plus post-doctoral experience in Bioanalytical Science with
an emphasis on protein analysis (protein characterization, biochemistry,
analytical chemistry etc.), plus a minimum of two years of industrial
experience (or equivalent academic experience) in a pharmaceutical setting.
Experience in the characterization of protein post-translational modifications,
particularly in the analysis of glycoprotein carbohydrates, is highly
desirable.
