Dear Joseph,
I have used Z-NHS and CL-Z-NHS especially near the end
of a long synthesis where acetylation will generate side-products which are
likely to co-elute with the desired product. Dissolve the Z-NHS in DMF and
add to the peptide resin. Then add 1 equivalent of neat Dipea and monitor by
the Kaiser-ninhydrin test. It is usually a fast reaction ( 10min)
