One such very nice little program is MFCalc ("Molecular Fragment Caluclator", by James Deline, Windows Version by Dwight Smith). It is free and a couple of sites from which it can be downloaded are http://www.tu-bs.de/institute/org-chem/masse/wgnh.html and http://studentweb.tulane.edu/~riker/chempoin.html (beware of the hideous wallpaper at the latter).

Dear All,
Does anybody know of a freely distributable PC (or Mac) program,
which would calculate an atomic composition for a measured molecular
weight?
Thank you for your concideration,
