Hello Tim
We been using dnaLIMS (from a company called dnaTools, based
in Colorado) for a couple of months now, to handle sequencing
requests for our ABI377-96, and are very pleased with the way it is
working out. No more bits of paper everywhere! More to the point,
we have had fairly universal enthusiasm from our customers (we
have about 110 registered users) who find it easy to use and really
like the way they get their results back pretty well as soon as the run
is finished (by automated email) and also the fact that they are then
held, pasword protected, on the server indefinitely. Although I
cannot claim to have completed extensive market research, my
impressions are that it compares favourably with other packages for
features and is more reasonably priced than some. I'm not sure that
it handles genotyping data, however. You can find out all you need
from their website www.dnatools.com. - or I can provide you with
more details if you want to contact me directly (I have no interest in
the company other than as a customer)
Best wishes
Austin Diamond
