Simon,
OS 9 WILL cause analysis 3.4 to freeze as soon as it's done. We
confirmed this here after reading Harold Hill's summary a while back.
We also confirmed that it is not an extension conflict or virtual
memory problem or anything else we can work around because although
the Seq Analysis software will run with extensions disabled, we get
the same crash.
Hey ABI! This is a very serious problem! Do you think they're
listening? It would be great if we could make our frustrated voices
heard. Please send a note to the company and mention it to all of
your field reps. I have a feeling that it would be a fairly simple
fix (just a feeling though) for them if they would just get their
software development act together.
BTW, might as well update to OS 9.0.4
