Dear Lisa

            It might be a bit late to say this but if you use Arg(Pbf) you
will have no problem deprotecting.I have just finished a series of peptides
with 9 non-sequential Arginines and these peptides handled just fine. If you
use Arg(Pmc) then a scavenger mix containing thioanisole is a good start (
see Novabiochems catalogue). Do a couple of small-scale trial cleavages with
different scavenger cocktails and don't be afraid to leave the cleavage
overnight.
