We are currently recruiting for a Protein Sequencing Field Support
Specialist.
In this role, we will rely on you to provide a readily accessible
source of technical and application support for US customers of PE
Biosystems Protein products and services. You will also act
as a technical liaison for providing feedback from the customer to maintain
and improve product quality.
Requirements: This position requires the knowledge and skills normally
acquired through the completion of a Bachelor's degree (BS / BA) in Life
Science, Chemistry, Engineering or related fields, or equivalent relevant
experience gained by servicing or providing technical support for related
high technology instrumentation. Requires knowledge of principles of
Biology, Chemistry and Physics or Electronics equivalent to basic
college-level courses in these areas.
The Field Specialist Position requires two to four (2-4) years hands-on
experience in a technical support related field, including one year hands-on
experience with PE Biosystems or related biotechnology products, e.g.
laboratory usage, field or in-house service, product testing, or equivalent
combination of education and experience.
For the position specific experience or training in Protein Sequencing
products and techniques or related areas is required. Experience or training
in an area related to customer relations, technical training or technical
support is preferred. The successful candidate needs to be based or willing
to reside in the Boston,MA area and willing to travel to support customers at
times in various areas of the country.
