Now,
I could be way off base here (and yes this is some humor injected
here), but is it possible that your S is really an N in your sequence and
what you have is an NG sequence which is base-labile (two of the codons
for S are AGU and AGC and those for N are AAU and AAC) and it is not the
endo Glu cutter that is doing the cutting at this site, but rather the
basic pH.
