We are in the process of evaluating the new Agilent 1100
LC/MSD-IonTrap mass spectrometer. It is a new instrument being launched by
Agilent with their orthogonal spray ion source and Bruker's multipole ion
trap. It uses MASCOT software from Matrix. Has anyone had any experience
with this instrument or software? We haven't yet been able to get our hands
on it to 'test drive' it. Our applications are based more on biotechnology
method development and validation rather than biomolecular discovery or
high-throughput screening. I would be interested in your opinions of this
Agilent instrument as related to other LC/MS/MS instruments.
