*Have you tried running a Medline for bovine and A2M? In looking back on
some refs collected while reviewing a paper on A2M, I get the impression
that everyone works on the human form, and I suspect that it may well be
the case that the entire cow sequence has never been done. A2M is purified
from plasma, and with ready availability of outdated blood vs. the effort
required to get cow blood, therein may lie the explanation.
If so, that would of course represent a twist on the usual situation with
whole organs, that acquiring a bovine example is easier than getting a
human one. Maybe you'll have to wait for the bovine genome :-)
Regards,
John
