I have seen that Endo Lys C (sequencing grade from Boehringer Mannheim) can
cleave a K-P bond in a large substrate (approx. 25 kDa, reduced and
alkylated protein), where trypsin (seq. grade, Boehringer Mannheim) will
not. I have not measured the efficiency with which it does this, though.
