Post Doctoral/Research Associate/Graduate and Summer Student positions are available to:
(i) investigate the effects of gestational and lactational exposure to estrogenic substances on male reproductive development and fertility in mice
(ii) examine the effects of estrogenic chemicals on in vitro human neuronal stem cell differentiation
(iii) establish gene expression profiles for various classes of chemicals using in vitro and in vivo models
Natural and synthetic chemicals including endogenous steroids, pharmaceuticals, nutriceuticals, phytoestrogens, pesticides, environmental pollutants and industrial chemicals will be examined.

This position will provide an opportunity to acquire experience in a wide variety of areas including animal handling, sperm assessment, in vitro fertilization, in situ hybridization, cell culture, cDNA array technology, laser capture microscopy, bioinformatics and the statistical analysis of gene expression data. This is a multifaceted position that will require a highly motivated and well organized individual with excellent writing and oral communication skills. Knowledge of molecular biology and/or biochemistry is essential. Experience with animal handling, statistical analysis, genomics, bioinformatics, computer programming and database management is highly desirable. Competitive salary, including benefits, will be based on training and experience.

Michigan State University (MSU) is a land grant university with an enrollment of approximately 42,000 students in a greater community of approximately 300,000, located in East Lansing, Michigan. The positions will be within the Department of Biochemistry and the recently completed National Food Safety & Toxicology Center.
