Hi, all,
Over the years, I've seen three different researchers pull out
peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase (which is a histidine rich protein)
from their expression of their own his-tagged protein. Not everyone ends
up with this as major product--it seems to crop up every two years.
I'm wondering if there is some little trick that these three
researchers skipped that would have helped reduce how effectively they
purified this E coli protein--we know that they should follow their Ni
column with another column to isolate the protein in which they are really
interested.
